About Us

A Journey of Compassion and Service

Our Story

The Dabenja Foundation was born from one man’s vision to create lasting change in his community. Benjamin Uwah, known fondly as Dabenja, witnessed firsthand the struggles of underprivileged families in Nigeria. Rather than turn away, he chose to act.

What began as small acts of kindness—sharing meals with street children and providing school supplies to needy students—has grown into a comprehensive charity organization serving thousands across Lagos State and beyond.

Founded officially in 2017, the Dabenja Foundation has become a trusted name in humanitarian service, known for our transparent operations, sustainable programs, and genuine commitment to uplifting the downtrodden.

Founder's Message

“Every child deserves a chance to dream. Every family deserves dignity. Every individual deserves hope. At Dabenja Foundation, we don’t just provide temporary relief—we build bridges to permanent transformation.

Growing up in Lagos, I understood that the difference between success and struggle often comes down to opportunity. That’s why we focus not just on meeting immediate needs, but on creating sustainable pathways out of poverty.

Together, we can rewrite the stories of countless lives. Together, we can build a Nigeria where no one is left behind.”
